It was a lovely weekend at Coopers Green except for a Sea-Doo racing around for an hour, close to the shore. Many people were swimming and having a great time, boats were being launched and taken out with courtesy and care – but this guy drove in circles back and forth, trying to perform unnatural manoeuvres and nearly stalling his Sea-Doo. We decided to go home.
We were married in front of at the hall years ago and a jet boat raced by drowning out the whole ceremony. Why aren’t these menacing so-called “sports enthusiasts” banned? I grew up on this beach and at 73 years old would like to use it in peace.
