Marmite – the food that dare not speak its name. Is it not enough that we have a spreading pandemic? Do we need spreading Marmite too? I jest: I had to travel about 9,000 miles to discover it in Oz and it seems to me the perfect (on toast fingers, for example) beer snack. And what perfect symmetry, eh? Local craft breweries take Sophie Woodrooffe’s advice, make Marmite, so we can eat it with their beer ... during the pandemic.
