Won't be held hostage any more

After another hectic summer with more tourists and more traffic congestions, I decided to check out what I've been hearing a lot of people complaining about. Once again, it is the ferries (late sailings and higher fares); however, there are more people out there fighting them than I knew.

I couldn't forget a couple signs I saw on my long, slow drive to Gibsons - "ferry hostage." I put it under search and was amazed at what I found. We finally have a group ready to take on B.C. Ferries with their costs. Many people have spoken their opinion and one mentioned another group I had to check out - Third Crossing Society, based in Powell River.

It's time B.C. Ferries learns that we do matter. We may look just like money to them, but we need to show them how we do not agree with them and are willing to shout so loud and clear, they won't be able to shut us up.

Ferry Hostage and Third Crossing Society are what we have to look into and think about. We don't deserve to be held hostage or to pay half our pay cheque to go to Vancouver for a day.
