A big thank you and thumbs up to our Sechelt Volunteer Fire Department. They were called out in the early hours of the morning this week to a house fire in our neighborhood. Luckily, our neighbour was able to escape and as we stood with him, in disbelief, and watched his home being destroyed, we were enormously grateful to the firefighters who were working to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading. Their calm professionalism and teamwork were reassuring as they worked in dangerous conditions. Hats off to these brave volunteers!
