I just paid my huge (for me) tax bill to the Regional District. I have no dispute with paying taxes as I believe in sharing the load for roads, water, schools etc. But I do have a problem with misuse of my money. I live in Granthams and have watched the Church Road Well project soar in costs and errors in equipment. There often are trucks, people and surveyors on site.
This morning I went by the reservoir on my electric scooter and there were seven!!! trucks and cars parked along the road for a meeting at the project site for I counted seven people. I would like to know why each person required a vehicle?
I am paying for the insurance, gas, maintenance, and let’s not forget the environmental cost, of all these vehicles.
Has no one in this organization heard of car sharing?
