Letters: Indeed, we need accommodations for responsible pet owners

Thanks to Joan Payne (“The case for companion animals,” Jan. 20) for mentioning the need for accommodations that allow responsible pet owners who depend on their companion furry friends for support. 

Finding “affordable housing” is difficult enough, especially here on the Sunshine Coast, not to mention a decent dwelling that will allow a small pet.  

That is what “good references and damage deposits” are for.
