Letters: Indeed, looking forward to a Lions home

'I want to thank the Sunshine Coast Lions Housing Society for all the hard work they have done over the years, and recently in finally getting approval to move forward with the new annex which is greatly needed.'

This is in regards to a couple recent letters regarding the Sechelt Lions Housing. I want to give a huge shout out to Judy Griffith Gill for coming forward with an honest and perfect rebuttal to an earlier letter claiming the housing being supplied is a prison and not a home.

In addition to Judy Griffith Gills’ comments, there is a senior center a block away where seniors can gather for good meals and activities, a rec centre a short walk away, as well as stores, shops, cafes and medical clinics. And green space surrounds us....just walk outside.

A home is what you make it.

I myself am on the shortlist, after three years, for a unit and looking forward to the day when I get the call.

I want to thank the Sunshine Coast Lions Housing Society for all the hard work they have done over the years, and recently in finally getting approval to move forward with the new annex which is greatly needed.

These past few years have been extremely trying times and your efforts do not go unappreciated by so many. Thank you.

All the best in 2023 to all.
