Letters: Air traffic's noise pollution detrimental to Coasters' wellbeing

I am writing to express my concern about the incessant noise pollution caused by air traffic and its detrimental impact on the wellbeing of thousands of people in our community. The constant roar of aircraft engines is not only irritating, but can lead to sleep deprivation, anxiety, and other health issues. It is unfair that the wellbeing of so many people is being sacrificed for the benefit of a select few.

I recommend implementing a high fuel tax on all small aircraft to discourage unnecessary flights and reduce the overall impact of air travel on our communities.

The revenue generated from this tax can be used to offset other taxes imposed on the citizens negatively affected by these flights.
