Thanks for your letter, Bruce. Yes, there are too many concerned people “rescuing” seal pups that a good part of the time don’t need rescuing. The rescued animals are held until they are able to manage for themselves and then dumped back into an already strained environment. Any salmon moving through that area are decimated by the excess of seals. Let’s leave the pups alone and let natural selection be natural.
