Re: “Machado rips into GABC,” June 7.
Three cheers and a tiger to Emanuel Machado for standing up for his staff and the citizens of Gibsons. It’s about time somebody spoke out against the Gibsons Alliance of Business and Community (GABC). These people should get a life. Their negative anti-development, anti-change, anti-everything shtick has been soundly rejected in the last two municipal elections. If modern life is too much for them perhaps they should relocate to some sequestered island in Desolation Sound where there are no sidewalks, no streetlights, no housing projects, no fireworks, and, yes, no hotels on the waterfront.
