This month will see a change in The Heart of the Creek, when the woodworking school closes at that location. For 15 years Inside Passage Woodworking School has been quietly teaching fine woodworking skills to students from all over the world.

For those 15 years we have been privileged to house many of those students. They came for courses as short as six weeks and some stayed with us for two years. We had students from Israel, Japan, Scotland, New Zealand, and all over the United States and Canada. They worked diligently six and seven days a week from early morning into the evening, learning the skills to make meticulously crafted cabinets and chairs. They ranged in age from 20 to in their 60s and every single one of them was a pleasure to know and enriched our lives.

It was a quiet and hidden-away place and we were always surprised at the number of people who were unaware of the Inside Passage Woodworking School. It was a great addition to Roberts Creek and we are grateful for the benefits it gave us. We would like to wish Robert and Yvonne well as they change formats and move to a new location.
