I am following with great interest the letters about our water “shortage.” I am wondering if anything is getting done about it. The letter “Water 101” by Kathy Para (March 18) hit the nail on the head. It is lack of infrastructure.
I have a suggestion for our mayor and council. Stop giving out so many building permits until the infrastructure is fixed – water first, then sewer system and maybe highway.
Improvement? Let the builders combine and demand that the Sunshine Coast Regional District fixes the water supply. Maybe their strength could motivate the people in charge.
