I have not been in the habit of reaching for superlatives in my long lifetime, but a very well deserved tip of the hat to both the hospital staff and to the many volunteers who organized the tour of the St. Mary's Hospital expansion on Wednesday afternoon, March 20.
The impression that I took away of the new extension was mind-boggling.
I was one of the 40 or so lucky ones who kicked off the guided tours at the stroke of 1:30 p.m. I felt for the thousand or so latecomers who lined up in the cold, but I'm sure they will all agree it was worth it.
