While walking my puppy in downtown Gibsons, she became frightened by traffic and slipped her harness, running away from me in a panic up School Road. As I followed her as quickly as possible, she kept running, frightened and not responding to my calls. Cars stopped in both directions as she stood confused.
Thanks to all who cared enough to stop and a special thanks to the lady in the white truck who picked me up and also followed my pup as she continued to run down Abbs Road. Thanks to her for staying with the dog until I was able to get close enough to grab her. We took a very tired puppy home, safe and unhurt. What a caring community we live in!
