Too bad Mr. Loppe decided to pass on Dakota Ridge (Letters, Jan. 15).
My family plus three dogs who were over for Christmas had the best Christmas ever. They are outdoor enthusiasts and yes, they have snow chains and the right equipment, and they found Dakota Ridge to be wonderful.
The snow was the best ever, entrance by donation, trails well groomed – there is even a special trail set out for dogs and owners.
Of course, it’s not half as crowded as many other areas on the Lower Mainland, and coming home to a warm house and Christmas dinner made for an unforgettable, special and inexpensive Christmas holiday.
Thanks to the many volunteers who help to make it possible.
