Creekers needed

Letters

Editor:

I was impressed with the accomplishments of the Roberts Creek Community Association (RCCA) this past year. Their very limited resources make this achievement that much more impressive. The community association hosts a number of events attended by tourists and locals from across the Sunshine Coast. However, the human resources are extremely limited.

There is an opportunity to participate in our vibrant community by stepping forward and offering your life experience to further the RCCA’s efforts. Currently the biggest challenge is replacing the roof on the venerable RCC Hall, built in 1934; $100,000 is needed and someone who has fundraising knowledge, skills and the desire to do so is seriously needed.

There is also a great need for community members to become ongoing resources for the daily operation of this fine institution. Please contact president Scott Avery at 604-885-6626 or [email protected] to find out more.
