Are more taxes coming?

Amazing, another survey for us to answer, and of course once again, it is worded so as to obtain the answers they want.

Interestingly enough, in September 2008, Gartner Lee Ltd. (that is also AECOM), received $56,000 for the recycling review. Now, SCRD staff are working on a request for proposals for bids on three unmanned recycling depots, and for curbside recycling pick up.

Better start asking, "What will be the increase on my "ever increasing taxes"? One would also wonder why curbside pick up (only three or four items), when we have many more items for recycling and usually drop them off when we are out doing other chores.

Why would we want more trucks impeding traffic along the highway to pick up bin(s)? What about unmanned depots, just a receipt for a garbage dumpsite? Just look at the garbage left at the Gibsons Park Plaza depot on weekends. Notice the new "no garbage" sign? It's there for a reason.
