Act now, with prudence

As I read your Feb. 26 issue and learned about the frustrations of Dr. Eric Paetkau (“Pioneer graveyard fix underway”) and John France (“Sechelt shows wrong kind of bias”), both of whom I hold in the highest regard, I wonder as to when the causes of their frustration of local government will end.

This community is such a wonderful place to live in. My wife’s family has been here for over 100 years and my family over 50 years – and the members of these families have given to the entire community. I have experienced how this isolated community of the Sunshine Coast donates its time and resources over and over again. It would seem that local government must take some action now but in doing so must demonstrate prudence in managing the taxpayers’ funding thereof.

The time is now!
