Many players of the Sunshine Coast Youth Soccer Association (SCYSA) took to the field last weekend to kick off the beginning of another season.
"A thank you to all who made it such a great day. Collectively it is truly a community event," said association president Norm Blair.
The young soccer players will have an exciting start to their season as the Whitecaps coaching staff are providing training sessions for all members of the association. The sessions will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 17 and 18.
"The SCYSA wanted to provide the membership with a unique opportunity for all players to participate in a development program that was not restricted by finances," Blair said.
The event takes place at Kinnikinnick Park with a highlight game at 4 p.m. between a Whitecaps residency team and a representative team from the SCYSA. For more, see www.scysa.ca.
