The Sunshine Coast’s U13 Girls Storm soccer team sure doesn’t play like a new team. Their exceptional passing and teamwork are giving other league teams a run for their money. Last weekend they had a 4-1 win at Shirley Macey Park, beating the VUFC Tornadoes.
Hilary August played her first full game in net and did a fantastic job of getting her hands on the ball. A fantastic defensive line backed her up as Sedona Allen and Kyra Peel cleared the ball from their team’s end with strong kicks. It continued from there as the midfield line pushed the ball up to four different girls scoring, including: Asha Lui-Henneke, Mika Schutz, Kayla Evenson, and Sarah Wilson.
