Sunshine Dragons Abreast, the local breast cancer dragon boat team, has been practising hard in preparation for their participation in an international regatta in Florence, Italy in early July. Last week they invited their sponsors to attend a practice and several went out in the boat. Sponsorship and fundraising have helped the team to cover registration fees, and new hats and shirts. There will be 3,500 breast cancer survivors from all over the world racing at the festival.
