Cam Longman won his third fight in as many months on May 14, 2022.

In a technical knockout in the first round, Sunshine Coast boxer Cam Longman defeated Nanaimo pugilist Mack Ryan during a May 14 fight in Surrey

At the start of the fight, the lanky Ryan attempted to use his reach advantage to distance himself from the shorter Longman.

Drawing on his months of training, Longman ducked and slipped his rangy adversary’s punches and scored heavy punches to Ryan’s body.

With the body punches causing Ryan to drop his guard a little, Longman cleverly switched his attack to Ryan’s head and knocked him to the canvas with a blistering right cross.

Ryan got to his feet and when the fight continued Longman went on the attack, driving his opponent to the ropes with a barrage of heavy punches.
Seeing that the Nanaimo boxer was overwhelmed, and not able to defend himself intelligently, the referee stopped the fight declaring Longman the winner.

This was Longman’s third fight in three months.

Longman’s success and work ethic is setting a good example for the new members of the Sunshine Coast Boxing Club (SCBC) who are preparing to enter Boxing BC sanctioned competitive boxing.

The SCBC gym is located on Venture Way in Gibsons.
