At the North Shore High School Track and Field Championships, Chatelech Secondary School’s Stella Hudec took three first-place wins in the Grade 8, 400m dash (1:02), the 800m (2:29) and 1,500m (5:17) then followed all that up with anchoring the 2nd place Junior Girls 4X400m relay with teammates Brynn Storey, Ella Achterberg and Talus Jackson. Next up for these four girls is the Vancouver Sea to Sky Championships this week at Swangard Stadium.
Also making it through to the Swangard Stadium meet in running events are: Elphinstone’s Isla Clarke who was fourth in the Junior Girls 1500m and fifth in the 400m dash. Chatelech’s Martin Krutsky who came in sixth in both the Senior Boys 400m and 800m. Chatelech’s Tyson Seabrook came in sixth in Senior Boys 1500m and Anias Pierce also was sixth in Grade 8 Boys 800m and 1500m events.
Elphinstone Junior Girls came in third 4X100m Relay with Charlotte Walker, Jayden Stark, Aoife Murphy and Isla Clarke.

Elphinstone’s Charlotte Walker who was first in the Junior Girls Long Jump (4.51m) and second in the Triple jump (8.90m). Elphinstone’s Aoife Murphy was first in the junior girls triple jump (9.12m) and fifth in high jump (1.30m). Elphinstone’s Alta O’Farrell came in fifth in Grade 8 girls high jump (1.30m)
