The Skater of the Month for March is Brielle Avila. Brielle is eight years old and attends Grade 3 at Cedar Grove Elementary School.
Brielle says she loves learning new jumps. Her favourite move in figure skating is the spiral. During her free time she likes to be with friends, play with squishies and make slime, cook for her family, draw, play with her dog and cat, and ride her bike.
Brielle’s professional coaches, Lesleigh Farr and Daryl Austman, say: “Brielle will move from Junior Academy to STAR skate for the spring season. Brielle is competing at Parksville super series next month and just attended her first competition at Burnaby 8 Section competition, where she received Silver. Congratulations on your progress, Brielle!”
