The Sunshine Coast Skating Club’s skater of the month for January is Demi McKevitt.
Demi is nine years old and attends Cedar Grove Elementary School where she is in Grade 4.
What Demi says she loves about skating is when you feel the music when you dance. Her favourite thing in skating is doing the sit spin.
Demi’s professional coaches, Lesleigh Farr and Daryl Austman, have this to say about her: “Demi moved into Junior Academy in January and is determined and enthusiastic. She is motivated and a great addition to the program. She participates in both on ice and dryland classes as well as extra early morning class. Demi always brings a smile and positive attitude. Keep up the good work, Demi!”
