Skater of the Month for September is Raven Shaw.
Raven has shown commitment and determination. He progressed from Star 1 through to Star 2 and received gold assessment at the BC Super Series competition in April. In August, he passed two Skate Canada tests.
He is very coachable and sets a good example for all. Raven commits to his on-ice training, dryland training and maintaining his daily goal-setting binder. His work ethic is exemplary.
Raven Shaw is 12 years old and attends the SD46 Project Spider Program.
What Raven loves about skating is how precise everything has to be – and speed. He loves learning the jumps.
When he is not skating he loves to play video games, chill with his friends and fly drones.
