The Sunshine Coast Roller Girls A team Red Tide Warning takes on The Mainland Misfits Doomsday Bunnies from Vancouver this Saturday at the Gibsons and Area Community Centre.
Doors open at 5 with first whistle at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and children ages six to 12 and will be available at the door.

Spirit of Aloha Racing (SOAR), in partnership with Sea Cavalcade, is holding an exciting paddle race for adults and kids this Sunday, July 28, right after the Keats Island Swim.
The race is open to sea kayaks, canoes, OC-1, OC-2 and surfski, and runs from Armour's Beach to Soames Point and back.
All competitors must supply their own boat, paddle, personal flotation device, bailing device and throw rope. These can be rented from Sunshine Kayaking in Molly's Lane. For more details, visit www.soarpaddleclub.ca.

The Suncoast Racquet Club is in full swing this summer.
Lessons are in session now and upcoming ones include camps for ages seven to nine July 29 and Aug. 2 and again on Aug. 26 to 30.

Junior golf tour
Two Coast junior golfers competed in the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour's Odlum Brown Classic at the Northview Golf and Country Club in Surrey July 15 to 17.
Avery Struck of Halfmoon Bay finished tied for sixth from a field of 23 in the girls division with a three-day total of 237 (79, 76, 82).
Sechelt's Keenan Flemming finished seventh in the bantam boys division with a three-day total of 231 (76, 76, 79).
