Registration for rep teams ended on March 27, but tryouts continue with several sessions for girls and boys next week.
The girls tryout at Ted Dixon Fields from 5:30 to 7 p.m. with the U12/13 on Wednesday, April 15, and the U14/15 on Thursday. The U16/17 is also on Wednesday, but at Shirley Macey.
As for the boys, all their tryouts are at Shirley Macey with the U13/14 on April 18 from 1 to 2:20 p.m., U11/12 on April 20 from 5:30 to 7 p.m., U17/18 on April 22 from 5:30 to 7 p.m., U15 on April 23 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and U17/18 again on April 25 from 10 a.m. to noon.The rep team co-ordinator is Rick McGuire. AppreciationThe appreciation night for coaches, volunteers and referee's is next Friday, April 17.
The night starts with a fun soccer game between the coaches and referees at 6 p.m. at Ted Dixon Fields. Call Laurie Miller at 604-886-4754 if you wish to play.
Following the game, the fun moves to the Chatelech Secondary School foyer for a light buffet and a social evening. This is a great way to wrap up a soccer season. Call me at 604-885-9719 if you plan to attend.
EquipmentCoaches equipment return is on Saturday, April 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at our storage container on Field Road. If you are coming from Gibsons turn right at the Wilson Creek traffic light and follow the signs. Turn left at the BC Hydro office sign. If you are coming from Sechelt turn left at the light. Be sure to have all your jerseys and shorts along with the equipment issued last September. Any soccer balls that will not hold air should be put in your garbage.Road tripAll girl's teams are invited to join us at the Vancouver Whitecaps women's game on June 7. Kick-off is 4 p.m. giving us plenty of time to catch the 7:20 p.m. ferry home. Tickets are $11. Bring your friends or family. It is always a lot of fun and a real learning event too. Coaches should collect the money and phone me with their team order by May 15.
