Razors, Raiders tied for first

The Inlet Raiders have some Razorbacks nipping at their heels. The Ross Concrete Services/SC Home Building Centre Razorbacks had a great week, winning a pair of games to pull even with eight points and top spot with the Raiders.

On Tuesday night, the Razors got a balanced scoring attack en route to a 7-1 win over the Suncoast Flyers.

Aaron Portman led the way with two goals and two assists. Portman leads the league in scoring with seven goals, 10 assists and 17 points in seven games.

Aaron Hamilton chipped in with four assists, while Randy Younghusband had a pair of goals. Other goal scorers included Randall Smisko and Josh Knox.

Connor McCarthy scored the lone goal for the Flyers.

Last Saturday night, the Razors edged the Midway Power/Grasshopper Pub Hitmen 4-3.

Ken Sorensen, Eoin Ross, Gary Tetzlaff and Knox scored for the Razors while Dan Fitchell scored two for the Hitmen with Lance Durkin adding a single and one assist.

The other Saturday night game between the Flyers and Raiders was postponed and will be rescheduled later in the season.
