Raiders lead after week two

The Raiders picked up a 10-4 win over the Roberts Creek Rangers on Saturday night and followed that with a 4-2 win over the Suncoast Flyers on Tuesday night.

Jarred Ruttley led the way in the six-goal win over the Rangers with three goals and two assists. Dan Schoular and Dave Crosby each fired home a pair of goals, while Ian Bunbury, Mike Yarrow and Dwight Davison added singles. Graham Benjafield added three assists, while Tom Poulton, Tristan Tuplin and Davison each added a pair of helpers.

Mike Liebling scored a pair for the Rangers in a losing cause, while Jason Wilson and Scott Liebling added singles. Jeremy Hemp also added a pair of assists.

Four different goal scorers found the back of the net for the Raiders against the Flyers as Poulton, Tuplin, Ruttley and Benjafield scored.

Blake Randall and Taylor Watters scored for the Flyers.

The other game on Saturday saw the Midway Power/Grasshopper Pub Hitmen edge the Flyers 4-3.

Trent Turner scored the winning goal with 7:34 to go in the third period. Adam Mercer with two and Dan Fitchell provided the other goals for the Hitmen.

Mike Lewis, Randall and Cody Upson replied for the Flyers.
