The Suncoast Racquet Club encourages tennis players to come and try out our new facility at 6000 Lighthouse Ave. (next to Kinikinnick Elementary School) and play for free at a open house.

Bring your tennis shoes and meet other tennis players on Sunday, Sept. 20 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Take advantage of the club's special two for one initiation fee promotion beginning Sept. 20 running one week only until Sept. 26. This is a great opportunity to join at a discounted price and play tennis all winter, while enjoying the benefits of a full membership in a first class facility.

The club offers many programs, singles, doubles and mixed doubles for all levels. They also offer fun tournaments, competitive leagues, drop-ins for club members and clinics to improve your game with a qualified coach. There are junior programs and social activities such as pizza nights once a month and luncheons.

The club will also be offering public drop-ins for $10 on Saturday afternoons from 2 to 5 p.m. starting Oct. 3. Because numbers are limited and minimum players are required, those interested are asked to call club coach Jacques Joyal ahead of time at 604-741-7858.

Joyal will also be on hand to answer questions and take registrations for the fall programs at Sunday's open house.
