Due to the May rain out, the Ted Meldrum Memorial Drag Race has been rescheduled for this Sunday, June 22, at the Sechelt Airport presented by the Sunshine Coast Drag Racing Association.
Spectators with their wrist band from the May race will be admitted at no charge.
Any racers registered and paid for the May 25 event will have fees waived. If you weren’t around to race in May, you’re welcome to participate. Racing will commence at 9 a.m. with street machine, super street, street rod, hot rod and exhibition.
Everyone is welcome to this alcohol-free, public race event. Bring your friends, chairs and some sunscreen. Sorry, absolutely no pets. Please leave them at home.
Gates open at 7 a.m. with tech inspection from 8 to 10 a.m. and racing at 9 a.m. Admission is $10 for spectators with a $50 race fee for non members and $35 for members.
