Photos: Second junior hockey series played on the Coast, including hometown player

As the Pacific Junior Hockey League hit the ice on Jan. 28, they drew a full crowd to the Gibsons and Area Community Centre

The seats in the Gibsons and Area Community Centre's rink were mostly full as excited children lined the plexiglass and cheered on players on Saturday, Jan. 28.

The community welcomed its second Pacific Junior Hockey League (PJHL) series last weekend, amid local efforts to raise a team on the Coast. On the ice was Gibsons teen Laszlo Istvanffy, number 50, playing with the Richmond Sockeyes in his home arena.
