The Sunshine Coast Men’s Hockey League recently wrapped up the 2017-18 regular season with the Custom Hawks coming out on top with an almost perfect record of 29 wins and one tie. The remaining five teams were fairly evenly matched this season and going into the third game of the five-game playoff race, the picture looks pretty much the same. After two playoff games (three remaining) the standings were:
Hawks 9, Bruins 7, Cutters 4, Hitmen 3.5, Kings 3.5, Oilers 2
Based on these standings, every team has a mathematical chance of making the finals, but it’s going to be tough to catch the Custom Hawks who have taken nine out of the possible 10 points heading into their third game. All games are being played at the Sunshine Coast Arena in Sechelt. The games for the coming week are:
March 20: Bruins vs. Oilers – 7 p.m.
March 22: Custom Hawks vs. Marks Cutters – 9 p.m.
March 24: Bruins vs. Hitmen – 7 p.m.
Come out and support your team and catch some of the best ice hockey the Sunshine Coast has to offer. For more information on the Sunshine Coast Men’s Hockey League contact Brenda Rowe at [email protected]. Visit our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/coastmenshockey.
