The Sunshine Coast Rod and Gun Club will hold its Annual General Meeting on Thursday, April 12 at 7 p.m. in the clubhouse. The meeting will include annual elections for executive positions for the coming year.
Club president Gord Bader encourages members to consider a position as a director.
“Being a director is not an onerous commitment,” Bader said, noting that it means attendance at executive meetings five or six times a year.
“We also need a secretary whose primary role is to take the executive and monthly membership meeting minutes. We need a few more members to make themselves available to help with memberships, kitchen help on Sundays and several other positions.
This is not full-time work, and if more people step up to help, it means less work for all – a morning, or a few hours once or twice a month,” Bader said.
“If we can get 50 per cent of the membership to help, there will be much less work for everyone. Please attend the AGM to put your name forward and to vote.”
