Lon's Gun Show continues to lead the way after last week's play in the Sunshine Coast Men's Fastball League.
Gun Show picked up a pair of wins to move to 7-1.
Gun Show beat the Lighthouse/WC IGA Brewers 11-5 on July 13.
Heading into the game it looked like it would be a pitchers' duel between Mike Sopow from Gun Show and Bill Stockwell of the Brewers, but that quickly changed with the Brewers scoring four runs in the first inning.
The Gun Show bats also came alive as Jordan Peever went four for five and Sopow helped his own cause with a home run. Eoin Ross also made an amazing diving catch in centre field for Gun Show.
In its other game, Gun Show blasted Custom Carpet 11-1 on Monday night.
Nate Deboer pitched the final three innings to get the save, while Matt Fawkus pitched the whole game for Custom. Custom's lone run came off a long ball from Justin Samson.
In other action, the Rain'er Shine Pirates and RJS Blue Jays squared off with first year pitchers Josh Gray and Dave Moran going head to head on July 11.
Moran held the early lead and momentum leading 9-4 through five innings before the Pirates bats rallied for four runs.
The game went run for run until the bottom of the seventh when Gray hit a walk-off single for the Pirates, taking the game 13-12.
Terry Williams got the win and improved his season record to 4-1.
In the other game on July 11, Custom beat the Relics 13-6.
Relics got out to an early lead aided by John Mercer and his eight strikeouts, but Custom battled back to tie the game into the fifth inning.
Then Custom used the long ball to take the lead and the win with long shots by Byron Benner, Jeremy Rowland and Doug Saunders. Saunders pitched the whole game for Custom.
The highlight of the night was a spectacular double play made by Doug Stinson of Custom that ultimately stymied the Relics' bats.
