Golf teams to play for NS title

The Chatelech and Elphinstone golf teams will compete for a North Shore title after completing their regular seasons.

The Eagles beat Windsor 4-3 on April 29 in their last league match to finish in first place in the league standings with a 6-0 record.

Elphi moved to 3-2 in league play with a 7-0 win over Windsor on April 26. The Cougars played their last league match on Monday against Mulgrave, picking up a 4-0 win to finish the regular season with a record of 4-2.

On Wednesday in Squamish, Elphi, Chatelech, Windsor and Collingwood played off for the North Shore title. Results were not available at Coast Reporter's press time Thursday morning.

Ultimate Frisbee

The Eagles senior ultimate team is 2-0-1 in league play and sits second in the standings in the North Shore League.

Chatelech beat West Vancouver 13-7 on April 5, tied Rockridge 8-8 on April 19 and beat Handsworth 13-7 on April 24.

The junior team is 0-3 in league play following a 13-6 loss to Sutherland on April 12, a 13-5 loss to Island Pacific (Bowen) on April 17 and a 13-6 loss to Windsor on April 19.

Girls' soccer

The Eagles are 0-3 in senior girls' soccer action playing an exhibition schedule in the North Shore League this season.

Chatelech lost 5-3 to Windsor on April 8, lost 3-2 to Seycove on April 15 and had a 5-4 loss to Rockridge on April 25.

Lacrosse

The Sunshine Coast peewee Rapids lacrosse team played a double header last weekend, looking to stay undefeated on the season.

The weekend started well with a close, hard-fought 3-1 win over the Burnaby Lakers. But game two saw a fast and high-energy Vancouver squad hold the Rapids to only one goal in a 7-1 victory.
