Hockeyville

The Sunshine Coast Minor Hockey Association has been entered into CBC's Kraft Hockeyville competition, but in order for the association to move on in the competition, more positive hockey stories are needed. They can be submitted on-line at www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/hockeyville/community/3498/en/index.shtml.

Not only will your community have the exclusive bragging rights that come with being crowned Kraft Hockeyville 2011, the strongest hockey community is also awarded prizes to help them make their mark in Canada's hockey history: 100,000 from Kraft Canada dedicated to upgrading your home arena endorsed through your winning Kraft Hockey-ville bid, an NHL pre-season hockey game hosted on the Sunshine Coast, and a CBC Hockey Night in Canada broadcast from the Coast relating to the event.

If the Sunshine Coast makes it to the top five, but doesn't quite have what it takes this year to be Kraft Hockeyville, the top four remaining communities will still get some great prizes, including $25,000 from Kraft Canada for arena upgrades and a CBC Hockey Night in Canada broadcast.
