Gibsons Ryan Dempster was good, but not good enough, as the Atlanta Braves shut out the Chicago Cubs 3-0 Monday night at Wrigley Field. The Cubs right hander pitched six innings, allowing the three runs (two of which came by solo home runs) on six hits with three walks and eight strikeouts. Dempster fell to 10-9 on the season and is now 2-10 lifetime against the Braves. Dempster is in line to pitch again on Saturday when the Cubs travel to Milwaukee for a weekend series against the division leading Brewers.
