Elphi ended up as the overall winners of the meet last week at Ambleside. Both boys' teams won, and both girls' teams finished third, for an overall school placement of first, two points ahead of Argyle Secondary of North Vancouver.
This week, the team was short a couple of runners in the senior girls' division, so the overall school placing is not determined. However, on the strength of the boys' teams finishing first, and the bantam/juvenile girls improving to second, the coach believes they will still be first or second overall, and definitely first in the AA School Category - "a rather impressive showing this year," said coach Tom Daniels.
