Junior teams from Squamish to Osoyoos continue to benefit from the talent produced by the Sunshine Coast Minor Hockey Association (SCMHA).

Marc Chabot, Brady Bjornson and Connor Cross are all playing for the Squamish Wolfpack in the Pacific International Junior Hockey League. Chabot and Bjornson are in their second year with Squamish; Cross is a rookie. In six games so far, Chabot has five goals, Bjornson has one goal and three assists, while Cross has one goal in four games. Timo Antilla also had a short stint with the club, as he attended Squamish's pre-season training camp.

Josh Gray has two goals and seven assists in nine games with the Osoyoos Coyotes, a new club this year in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL).

Kyle Horsman, who was drafted last year by the Western Hockey League's (WHL) Seattle Thunderbirds, is still in their system and attended Seattle's training camp. He has one goal and two assists in 10 games with the Okanagan Hockey Academy's midget prep team. He hopes to crack Seattle's roster next season.

Also in the WHL, Joe Antilla is in his third season with the Kootenay Ice where he has one goal so far in four games.

In the B.C. Major Midget League, goalie Scott Legault has one win and one tie in two games with the Vancouver Northwest Giants.

During the summer, Legault went to the Campbell River Storm prospect camp in the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League and also attended the Vancouver Giants WHL camp. He is still on the Giants protected list. He is also the first player to make the NW Giants while playing all his hockey with the SCMHA.

Goalie Chad Ketting is in his second season with the St. Albert Steel of the Alberta Junior Hockey League. Ketting is the third goalie on the team and has yet to see much game action so far this season.

Graydon Benner is continuing his education and athletics with the Notre Dame Hounds in Saskatchewan while playing for the Midget AAA squad. David Arduin is preparing for his second season with the Geneseo Knights at the State University of New York.

Arduin's season starts in a few weeks. Last year he had 11 goals and 14 assists for the Knights.

Other SCMHA graduates also attended prospect and tryout camps over the summer, included Robert Dixon, who was invited to the British Columbia Hockey League's Quesnel Millionaires main camp. Geoff Webb attended the Langley Chiefs BCHL main camp and the Kamloops Storm and Princeton Posse camps of the KIJHL, while Ryley Dempster went to the KIJHL's Grand Forks Boarder Bruins main camp.
