The 2017 Sunshine Coast Lacrosse Midget Team (ages 15-16) celebrate their first league championship banner. The Sunshine Coast Rapids have been League Champions in the past – however, this year the BC Lacrosse Association brought back the coveted banner. Competing against teams from as far as Mission and Delta, this team played with determination, strength and grit. They came together at the beginning of the 2017 season, bringing up players from their younger division (Bantams ages 13-14) and it was an uphill battle all season. With great coaching by Marcus Brejak, an awesome goalie and players with heart, the team rose to the top to achieve this award.
