The funds go to the local high school mountain bike race teams – Chatelech and Elphinstone.

Sanctioned by Cycling BC, the handicap system takes the racer’s time in minutes less their age in years thereby giving everyone a sporting chance.

Following COVID precautions racers preregistered online and then made their way up to the start of the 15km downhill course.

Although fastest overall, Gary Jackson opted to race on his e-bike; his result was so fast he had to be disqualified.

Fastest male without handicap was Kyle Good. Fastest female without handicap was Katie Button.

Fastest male with handicap was Dale Ewanchook. Fastest female with handicap was Ruth Ritchey.
