It has been a steady climb for the girls as they have been in three previous tournaments and so far have won two second-place spots. Knowing that second would not be good enough, the girls put their best foot forward and were able to take first place against all the bantam teams in the C division in District four, which includes the North Shore.

The Crusherz sailed through their first three games, sending each team packing with a mercy.

In the final game, the Crusherz had to face the Blue Jays for the second time. The Blue Jays were a tough opponent this time, not giving up much and sticking very close to the Crusherz. Leah Ewert pitched the entire game, giving it her all. The Crusherz just couldn't get their bats moving, stranding runners on base several times. The score was 5-4 in the fifth inning.

Finally, in the seventh inning, the Crusherz were able to bang in a couple of runs, ending the game at 7-4 and cinching their spotto the provincials.
