Athletes seek gold at provincial games

Six Sunshine Coast Special Olympics athletes are competing in the Special Olympics Provincial Games in Langley this weekend. More than 1,100 B.C. and Yukon athletes will be there, showing their skill, determination and true sportsmanship.

More than 1,100 B.C. and Yukon athletes will be there, showing their skill, determination and true sportsmanship. More than 300 volunteer coaches and mission staff members will be supporting them and helping them to achieve their goals

Lindsay Pearson and her coach, Chuck Bertrand, will be attending the golf competition.

Swimmers Wes Harrison, Micheal Oswald and Christel Jensen have been training hard at the pool. They will be supported by two coaches, Marilyn Adams and Gary Rogers.

Two rhythmic gymnastic competitors, Teresa Presley and Tracey Scoular, will also be competing. They will be assisted by their coach Margaret Casey.
