Tennis players from Suncoast Racquet Club hit the courts in April for their annual tournament. In the A category, Russell Crum won men’s singles, Mike Zanchetta and Paul Meyer were victorious in men’s doubles, while women’s doubles winners were Marian Shoemaker and Mariana Johnson. Mixed doubles winners were Tammy Klashinsky and Friedl Brudermann.
In the B category, men’s singles champion was Rainer Koehler, men’s doubles winners were Heinz Tigges and Rainer Koehler, Anne Elliott and Gillian Kydd won the women’s doubles, while Judi Lees and Berndt Rindt came out on top in the mixed doubles.
Dozens of deuce games and tie-breakers made the tournament fun for players and spectators.
