A brilliant exhibition of collage by Filipino-Canadian artist Jay Cabalu is in full swing at The Kube gallery in Gibsons. The show’s title, Bunso, is derived from a Tagalog term of endearment for the 'youngest child' in a family.

Pender Harbour’s annual celebration of marine heritage drew crowds of boat enthusiasts to Madeira Park on Aug. 3. Disposal of drywall at Sechelt landfill is being suspended from Aug. 16 to 27, due to “operational reasons”, a Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD) press release dated Aug. 15 announced.
