Little Legion tops the list

Royal Canadian Legion Roberts Creek Branch #219 has been recognized for achieving the highest membership increase in 2004 of all Legion branches in British Columbia. Membership increased some 45 members in one year.

Powell River man killed in crash

A Powell River man died in a horrific crash in Davis Bay Wednesday night. His pickup truck jumped a concrete barrier and hit a tree so hard that the truck was smashed to pieces and the tree was uprooted. The driver died immediately from the impact.
