Dry grad gets funds

A total of $9,981 was raised for Dry Grad activities on the Coast through sales at BC Liquor Stores during their 2012 fundraising campaign. The money will help fund two Dry Grad activities at Elphinstone Secondary School.

RCMP investigating fatal collision

An 89-year-old Sechelt man was killed when his mobility scooter collided with a pick-up truck in Sechelt last Friday night. On May 25, Sunshine Coast RCMP responded to the accident at the intersection of Cowrie Street and Ocean Avenue.

Sechelt provides funding

Sechelt council agreed to give out $55,500 worth of grants in aid to organizations on the Coast during their May 23 committee of the whole meeting, leaving $1,500 in the account to deal with community needs that may arise before the end of the year.
