RCMP issue mail and cheque fraud warning

Sunshine Coast RCMP are alerting the public of a recent case of cheque fraud that was reported on the Sunshine Coast. According to RCMP, an offer of employment is made to the victim, and cheques are sent before or after the work is done.

Weekly police report

Sunshine Coast RCMP reported the following for Feb. 1 to 8: A thief broke into a storage locker at a building in the 5800 block of Cowrie Street and stole a carpet cleaner. The thief cut the lock and took it away as well. Nothing else was stolen.
